The Williams team sentenced a fine of 50,000 euros for not having recorded a video on board

Shanghai (AP) – Williams was sentenced to a fine of 50,000 euros ($ 54,000) by the commissioners of the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix on Saturday due to a communication error.

The penalty relates to the failure of the Williams team to capture the video on board during Friday practice because he thought that the cameras will be preloaded with SD Memory cards.

The majority of the fine – 40,000 euros ($ 43,000) – was suspended.

The FIA has equipped all the cars with wireless cameras forward and backwards in China, the guidance organ which cracks on the flexion of the rear wing after the opening of the season in Australia with a more difficult static charging test.

Williams was supposed to provide video files for the new camera in the hour following the training finish, but no data was captured due to empty SD locations.

“They (Williams) noticed in the middle of the session that there was a red flashing fire in the cameras and pointed out to the technical delegate,” the statement said. “However, they did not know what the flashing light meant and, in any event, it was too late to adapt to the SD cards (s) at that time.”

“There was no suggestion that the wings did not comply with the flexibility conditions of the body under technical regulations”.

Williams said his internal procedures will be processed and that all future recordings will be provided without problem.

“We understand that to guarantee a fair police force of technical regulations, the FIA has expressed the resulting fine and we thank them for the constructive conversations and measured the processing of this issue,” said a Williams statement.
